Demo 1

On Saturday afternoon, we thought we would surprise Nick at the Station. He happened to call just as we were exiting Wurzbach. I just kept on blabbing, he says he suspected we were coming. Yeah, right. Love you Nick:) Demo by Nate "O.K. everyone, this is how you put on your firefighter coat. It is important to buckle up and have no gaps for the fire to hurt you." "This is what a firefighter looks like. Don't be scared when you see us all dressed as we go into a fire. We have to wear all of this to be safe. This is the Fire truck. It is big! and it says, wee-ooo, wee-ooo." "Sure you can wear my helmet. Hmm, it fits you better than it fits me." "This is the radio and computer we use to help us find the fire or place we need to go to help people." "This is the thermal imaging camera. I can see Lala, she is 100 degrees. The camera helps us find fire."

Demo 2

"Well you see, here is our Fire truck dad-dad. This is where all of the tools are and you need to be careful, see these steps that lead up to the truck, they automatically flip-up when the door closes." Firefighter Nate the Great enjoying a cookie after a long-hard presentation. Nate just started this "new thing" spinning, spinning, round, and round. "Then I'm so dizzy, I fall on the ground." "Thanks dad and guys at the station, I had a lot of fun being a firefighter today!"

Applesauce conditioner

So you see dad-dad, I was reading. It turns out applesauce is very good for your hair; that is why I dumped it on my head and spread it in so precisely. (do you notice the partner in crime next to Nate's chair licking up the floor, what to do?!)

The Great Pumpkin Patch

One afternoon we took a family outing to Nate's school. FUMC has there yearly pumpkin patch out front next to the church. Nate knowing where he was, followed his rules and stayed on the sidewalk. We had to prompt him off and get him to come play. HE LOVED IT! He sat right down and picked his first pumpkin! And he said "cheeese" for the first time too. He is now hard at work picking the best pumpkins to take home. We want a variety but we can't have any too small because the deer will be able to pick them up and take them. If those silly deer can pick it up with there teeth, they will take anything, even fake flowers. Here Nate and Lala are posing for a picture. Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!

Rachel's Birthday

Hi Callie!!! When we got to Rachels the kids were in the backyard playing on the jumping castle. They were having a blast. Here Miss Callie is with grandpa Roger. Nate enjoyed Rachel's tricycle as dad pushed him around. Nate playing with Austin. He enjoyed wrestling with the big boys, Austin and Peyton were helping with the little guys. Rachel blowing out her candles.

Rachel's party II

Nate and his girlfriend Callie. He is trying to give her a kiss. Nate and Cade playing with a flashlight.
Thank you Rachel for inviting us to your party. We had lots of fun! It was good to hang out with everyone, we get really busy and don't have a lot of time to just visit anymore. We need to get together more often!!! Happy Birthday Rachel!

Homecoming

October started with lots of cheering!!! Go, go, go. Anyway, I have enjoyed watching volleball. The girls are really good this year both JV and Varsity squads. We also started out with homecoming the second week of October. That also made for a very busy week. Making mums and garters, it is all such a frenzy. Sash, Bianca, and Brianna spent time making mums too. They had a lot of fun with that while Nate was singing in the shower. Sasha and some of the girls from the JV squad. Here they were cheering at volleyball. Sash and Andre. Sash and Ashley. Sash and Courtney.

Homecoming

Wow, another month gone by. October has started fast and furious. I wonder if time is moving quicker or if I'm getting older? :) We went to Somerset one Sunday afternoon to visit with my brother Michael. Nate was in the game room because he likes to use the drum sticks to play on the tile and sometimes Aunt Rose gives him a pot, he likes that. It's Nate the Superstar! Like father like son, he's singing in the shower. If you notice he does have a cord in the shower, you would think the electrical shock might buzz his hat off. Hmmm, I guess that's whats happening to dads hair. Homecoming week! Sash, Zak and Dylan with their homecoming garters. And we can't forget Blake!

clean, clean

It is only the beginning. Not only do we have a teenager who knows everything. (sorry Sash) We also have an 18 month old who knows everything. He is inspecting dad's vacuuming. ...apparently dad was not doing a very good job. "No dad-dad, like this." This is hard work. I'm beat.
Thank you Nate for cleaning up the mess you make. I guess the white socks are to test how clean the floor is while you clean-up.

the Trampoline

here are Arla and Rose hanging out. We were all posted around the trampoline to catch Nate since they do not have a net. I know kinda dangerous. Look at his little face though, he just walks on the trampoline and thinks its funny. I think it is difficult to get him to understand that you need a net, well of course because he is only 18 months, also because at J&R the trampolines do not have nets either. They are low and in the ground so he thinks this is normal. He is investigating what/who is under the trampoline. AND he likes to press his face against it, I think he likes the way it feels. Can you see the resemblance, don't my two children look alike? In fine form, teens, is this all they do?

Fun at Noo-noo's/the petting zoo

Brianna has pet crabs. Betty Boop and I can't think of what the other one's shell has painted on it. Nate calls them "puppy". Come to think of it, he calls everything, even bugs, insects, spiders - they are all puppies. Then he smashes them with dad's shoe. He learned that watching dad kill a scorpion he also thought was a puppy. Maybe it is because he saw Katcher barking at the scorpion he is calling the puppy? I don't know. Brianna has a petting zoo. She has Gracie, a parrot, the crabs, dogs, and they have a new puppy. A real puppy, a german shepherd. Reyna. She is cute. My vote is Brianna will work in a field that has to do with animals. She also wants a monkey. I think she already has one, Nate! Nate and Betty. He doesnt like the way they feel on his had. He does know that if you put them by water they will come out of the shell. So he always wants to put them in the sink. Waldo Ray is home! It is good to have Waldo back. He wants to go to Honduras next. The world traveler. Where's waldo is really appropriate isn't it? He lost about 20 pounds, all that great Korean food. If he's not careful he might gain it all back, everyone keeps cooking for him. Every picture I take, the girls are always eating; including my girl too. Rose and Bri.
Bianc and Nate.
