Nick's 5K
Nick ran a 5K this weekend :) 
Nick decided as the year began that he was going to start running again. He has been doing a GREAT job. He has been so dedicated to his training and going on a run about 5 days per week. I am so amazed at how much more energy he has. It has been AWESOME watching him feel good about his accomplishments each week.
Here he is the morning of his 5k. Nate and I went to Landa Park to cheer him on! It was so much fun. Nate is sporting the Deer Creek Camp shirt. (Nate can't wait to go to DCC). He was so excited to cross that finish line. It was inspiring to us and I think to him also. He is more motivated and hopes to build up to a 10K. The exciting news is that Nick placed 4th in his age bracket. We are so PROUD of YOU!!! We can't wait to watch his next race :)

Camping out
Nate started talking about camping today. He decided that he has never been camping and really wants to go. I told him, not me, me gusta mi casita. So he asked Lala if she would go with him and dad. He was very upset UNTIL .... we had an "aha" moment!
So Nate is sleeping in his firetruck tent/toy. Here he is and he is super happy :)
Yes, of course, he had to set it up in my room :/ along with the nature sounds on the radio.
I love my Natie, the things we do for our children :)

Dr. Nate!
We have spent lots of time at the allergist recently. Here Dr Nate is making sure everyone is healthy. Papa's appointment

Happy Birthday Momo *<:-D
February started out as a great day for a birthday, Happy Birthday Momo!!! We called and talked to him, however have not celebrated with festivities yet ... to come.
February is cOOOOld brrrrrrrrrrr ...............
It is a record "cold" outside. Right now the the temperature is showing 24 with a wind chill of 18 :-O YIKES! The average Feb weather is usually in the 50's. We Texans are not used to this chilly, actually down right COLD.
Being stuck inside has made a crazy little Nate. :(

Thekla's bday
Happy 4th birthday Thekla!! Thekla had a fun birthday at J&R with her friends from her class and her cousins :) Then the fam went to Thekla's house for a yummy dinner, opening presents, and cake!
the cake! And the jealous little guy watching, he really wanted to help blow out the candles. So much so, that when we got home he asked if we could light a candle so he could blow it out :/ I wonder where he gets this desire to put out fire?

A day in Nate's world
As you can see, so many "hats" we wear each day with Nate around. Mom is the "Queen", Abue is "Rudolph" .... and ...
