Enough said.
my handsome husband :)
the Mexican smile
Grammy and Papa. The first picture Papa wasn't looking, the second Grammy isn't looking, what to do?!?
Sash and Parma
Nate and Nick - aren't they two peas in a pod, scary.
Sonya and Abue. Hey, we match. I didn't even realize that until now.
Another year down, thanks to God :)
Nate-nate wearing his favorite new "boo". HE LOVES HIS FIREFIGHTER BOOTS. We tried the jacket on him, he fell over. It all weighed too much AND is still big for him. Abue is taking it easy on the couch while Katcher watches Nate.
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! Yippeee!! School!!! Sophomore!!!! A new year!!! Dual-credit courses, AP, and Pre-AP all in the near future for this sophomore. Happy first day of school Sash!!
Doesn't she just look so grown-up. I don't know that I like that. WOW, where did the time go. I remember when she was starting Mother's Day out.
Nate is ready for school. (His favorite driving hat)
Sister is driving us to school. Good because mom is on the verge of tears.
Mom and Nate walking in to school. He is excited and telling mom about school because dad and sister took him the day before to meet his teacher. So he had lots to say.
Sister taking him in. Mom lagging back because if he crys, HE IS NOT STAYING.
Well he was fine. Nate was very interested in going to school and seeing all kinds of new things. His eyes got really big when he heard a couple of the other children crying for there moms. He didn't flinch though, went in wide-eyed and willing. Pray for a good day:)
He is talking to us on the way to the car. Talking LOTS, telling us about his day.
He even had facials and expressions as he was telling us about it all.
Nate's first day of school report. Aaawwww, he was such a good little guy:) Make's a mom, dad, and sister proud:)
Thekla and Nate playing outside. Nate is trying to water and Thekla is probably telling him how to do it - girls, they start early.
Papa and Nick are making dinner. Yum! Fajitas and shish-ka-bobs, it was fabulous!
Camping out.
Ella is being tickled by Nick. Nate is, I'm not sure what he is doing.
It is always great to spend time with family. The little ones are growing up so fast, it is really challenging to keep up with what they are doing and what they are interested in. Can't wait to see you girls again, next time bring Russell too!
Nate and dad looking at the zebras. As you can see, Nate is catching every little thing.
This was Nate's favorite. When we walked up the lion was just waking up. Soon after, he got up and was roaring at the door where the zoo keeper brings his food. The lion really left an impression on Nate. He roared all day.
He is playing with the goats.
Dad is helping him brush the goat. Nate was a little rough at first.
As you can tell, he is very inquisitive about it all. He is not missing a beat. They crawl through the tunnell and pop there heads up into the prairie dog village. It is divided by plexi-glass and is pretty neat.
Here he is playing with the magnet table that shows how insects interact. The magnet he has in his hand is used under the table to move the insects around.
Now he is looking under the table. He just doesn't quite know what to think. Silly guy.
He is blowing kisses as we exit the train saying bye to the train and all of the people. Such a sweet boy :)
The day at the zoo was a lot of fun. Nate had wide eyes all day and enjoyed it all! We all took a nice nap once we got home.
He is learning to feed himself. Needless to say we have lots of messy pictures. This one was especially cute of him eating a fruit bar. He loves it! Can't you tell. Its serious work, popsicle eating.
And of course. The little supervisor is checking dad's work TWICE to make sure it is being done correctly. Look at him, he climbed right up on the step stool. Just squeezed his way up. If you could hear him he was talking away. Some we could make out and some we couldn't. Blah, blah, blah, dad-dad, blah, blah, blah - laugh...blah, blah, blah, dad-dad, blah, blah, blah - mean face. I think he was telling Nick what to do and how to do it. I'm sure it was all good advice too. It's never too early to learn the Weber carpentry skills. Next weekend Nick is going to show him how to work on the roof.
I thought he looked like he was up to something. He was trying to be fancy, in his words, and he spilled coffee everywhere! Stick with coffee dude, you are not espresso material. What can I say I don't even drink coffee; I wouldn't know where to start. I would probably make tar.
Serious scrabble face.
Nate enjoyed being outside of our little house. It was very nice. It had a hot tub which we didn't get to use because it rained in the evenings. And the host home was next door and they had a swimming pool. Which we also didn't use because, I don't know why we just didn't.
Our little cowboy.
