On the way to surgery. Nate is excited that he is getting to ride the bed:) It rolls like a train!! He was in a good mood, brave, and ready to have pudding! He just wants to feel better.
After his surgery he only wanted daddy. He was fairly feisty and did wanted the IV out, he even tried a few times, it wasn't a pretty sight. It was extremely sad and painful for a mom to watch. I am very glad dad was there he was quite a bit calmer than mom. It was tough to watch Nate be wild and mad. He was not his usual funny, silly, cuddly, and lovey self ... it hurt momma's heart.
Juju and Abue came to see him. Thank you Juju and Abue for coming to support Nate, mom, dad, and Lala. He was tired from the surgery and the anesthesia and took a good nap. Nate needed to drink some juice or eat a popsicle and keep it down in order for us to leave. We watched tv and coaxed him, it was not an easy task.
But by the end of the day, he was eating pudding, popsicles, applesauce, a smoothie, and drinking juice and water. I don't think anything is completely filling his tummy so he is just eating and tasting all kinds of things. Poor Natie, I hope tomorrow he is feeling just a bit better and we can try something a little bit more. Then again, I don't want to push him and cause his throat to hurt more.
